We wish our team all the best for the cluster meet at Kristin School on the 27th November.
Poetry Finals
All the children at school have been practicing poems as part of the whole school poetry competition. We are now down to the finals which will be held in the hall on Monday morning 26th November at 9.15am. You are all welcome to come along.\
CHOCOLATE FUNDRAISER
A reminder to please return your money or leftover chocolates as soon as possible, so that we can finalise this fundraiser. We have made over $8,300 to date!
BROWNS BAY CHRISTMAS PARADE AND CARNIVAL
Saturday 1st December 5pm. Glamorgan Primary are walking as a group in this parade again – all are welcome, so come and join us dressed in red/green colours to support our school – Santa hats, tinsel, angel wings, anything Christmassy is great too! Our famous dragon will lead the way with children and families walking behind.
Along the way, we will be carrying buckets to collect donations for the Cancer Society, in memory of the kind gentleman whose car transports our dragon, so please bring a gold coin to drop in the buckets!
We will be assembling from 4.30pm on Glen Road; the organisers have asked that we please enter from Anzac Road only. The parade will end by the beach. It would be good to have some parents join us, but equally if you would like to watch the parade and collect your child at the end, please make sure to give your phone number to Katie Elliott, who will be representing FOTS on the day (she’ll be the one in the green tutu) when you drop your child off. Younger siblings are welcome to walk with us, but we ask that parents stay with any non-school age children please.
We will have a table at the carnival afterwards selling some chocolates, so please come and top up your stash of Whittakers bars! We are looking for a couple of volunteers who would be willing to setup the table beforehand (who don’t mind missing the parade) and sell the chocolates leftover from our recent fundraiser. Please email Katie directly if this is something you can help with katiemariekoo@hotmail.com
Scholastic Book Orders
The last day to place an order for Issue 8 is Monday 26th November. This is the last chance to order for 2018.
Photolife Photos for sports teams, school groups and Rooms 2 and 24
Shoot keys for sports teams and school group photos should have been sent home this week – check your child’s bag or book bag. Rooms 2 and 24 class and individual photos taken this term; these should be with you in the next week or so for online ordering. Please note the shortened ‘free delivery’ time period for parents to place orders due to the fast approaching end of school year and to allow time for Photolife to process, print and deliver orders before school closes. The free delivery period ends at midnight on 2nd December.
Library Books
Please have a good look at home and send all library books back to school as soon as possible ready for the stocktake to take place in week 8 (3rd to 7 December).
Reverse Advent and Caring Crew NZ

Caring Crew NZ is a local charity that provides care packs for the parents or caregivers in hospital with their child. Glamorgan families are invited to drop off any new adult toiletries (drink bottles, hair brushes, lip balms, coffee sachets and sanitary products) into a box at the school office right up to school finishing. Thanks and Merry Christmas.
Invitation to all our wonderful helpers! Thank you morning tea in the staffroom – see below for details:
