We would like to start the year off by welcoming you all back to Glamorgan School! And what a busy start it has been. Teachers have been met, start-up testing has been completed and lots of planning is underway for Year 6 Camp and the various EOTC weeks. We are sure your children are enjoying the nice cool classrooms courtesy of our new air conditioning units – well worth the money. We bet there are many adults who are envious! We also want to warmly welcome families that are new to the school – we know your children are going to have an awesome year!
One of the key events at Glamorgan School, and all other state or state integrated schools this year will be the Board of Trustees triennial election. This election is an opportunity for you to be involved in the governance of our school, either by standing for election or by ensuring we receive your voting paper on time. We would like to outline the election and voting key dates so that you are all aware of what is going on.
If you would like to talk further to someone about joining the BOT of Glamorgan School please do not hesitate to contact Richard Beechey (Chairperson) via the school office. Several of our board members will be re-standing however there are some who have come to the end of their time on the Board. In the words of the American propaganda posters ‘We need you!’ We are more than happy to answer any questions you might have.
If you have further questions on the voting procedures please contact the School’s Returning Officer, Sara Quinn, on (09) 473 6453.
Your Board of Trustees is made up of:
