Thursday 2nd February 2017 to Thursday 13th April 2017
Kia ora koutou. Hello everyone.
Whole School Assembly
Team 1 will be leading our whole school assembly tomorrow, Friday 3rd March at 1:30 in the school hall. Everyone is welcome to come along.
If you are a parent and collecting your child after the assembly, before the end of the school day, please collect them from the classroom and make sure the teacher knows you are taking your child. The teacher will record who has gone home and parents do not need to go to the office.
Planning for emergency situations
We are currently putting together a basic emergency kit for each classroom that could be used in the event of a traumatic incident such as an earthquake or lockdown. Each class will be provided with a toilet bucket and paper, rubber gloves, plastic cups and spoons and water. To complete the kit could you please send a can of food to your child’s teacher(s)that has a ring pull? The teacher will store these in the classroom for the year. At the end of the year the food will be sent home or you can choose to donate the can to the Salvation Army food bank. Many thanks.
Today notices were handed out regarding playing netball to ALL year 1 and year 2 children and all those who expressed an interest in years 3-6. If your child has either lost their notice or did not collect one and you would like them to play netball, then please go to the school website and under Parent Information/Permissions Slips you will find two notices you can download and print off, one for years 1-4 and the other for Years 5 and 6. Permission slips and fees for netball should be in to the school office by 10th March. Teams will be put together over the next 3 weeks. From year 4 onwards grading will take place at lunchtimes on the following dates:
Tuesday 21st March Year 5
Wednesday 22nd March Year 4
Thursday 23rd March Year 6
