Everyone will be encouraged to come to school with crazy hair. So chuck on that wig or flash up your hair! Let’s do it for KidsCan!

Here are some suggestions: Go Blue? Spikes? A birds nest? Ribbons and Bows?

Celebrating success and achievement

Congratulations to the following boys (in Team Critchley) for another successful winter season playing for East Coast Bays Football Club in the NFF 9th Grade Divison:  Ollie Breed, Kian Gouws, Jimi Southgate, Nathan Hutton, Enzo Dellow, Finn Donald, Tyler Sievers, and Ben Sullivan.  The team performed admirably in their first season of home/away matches and playing in set positions. Their commitment, sportsmanship and team spirit over the last three years was also commended by their coach.

Many congratulations also, to Isla Brown who won gold in the North Island Primary and Intermediate Snowsports Champs girls years 1-6 in Slopestyles, which is the jumps and rails and won the Turoa Park Slopestyles competition under 16 Girls. She placed 17th out of 32 in the timed downhill race which was against boys and girls years 1-8 – a great effort given it’s her first time! Isla also won her first heat in the boarder cross, her and her overall team result was 7th based on all three event and a gold medal.  What an achievement – well done Isla!

2018 Enrolment ApplicationsIf you have a child turning 5 next year or know of anyone else  who has a child and wants them to come to Glamorgan School in 2018 please let the office know as soon as possible. All in zone children are guaranteed a place.

Out of zone applications- advance information

Any out of zone applications for 2018 will to go into a ballot held in October, if we have any places to offer. All out of zone applications must be in to the school office by 18th October.

Please note: if you have a child enrolled out of zone already this does not give any other siblings in your family an automatic place at the school. Each out of zone child must go through the ballot process and therefore it is essential you apply as soon as possible.

For the past five years we have not been able to take many out of zone applicants, but we have managed to accommodate out of zone siblings of current pupils. Our current roll growth is such that we may need to consider whether even this will be possible in future years. Please consider your local school if you have out of zone siblings.

Walking School Bus News
On Wednesday 13 September,  the Walking School Bus children enjoyed a  hot cup of Milo when they arrived at school. The Milo was made by Mrs Sally Logan, the Auckland Transport WSB co-ordinator for our school.  A big thank you to Sally and the parents who organise our Walking School Buses.
