Jammies in June

Jammies in June was again a success with over 40 pairs of pyjamas sent to Middlemore hospital and a over $350 donated in cash. Many thanks for supporting this cause. As well as the obvious benefit for the children in need, our own children have learned more about the conditions others live in and had a huge amount of fun on PJ day too!

Year 3/4 Junior Basketball Coach wanted for term 3

If you would like to volunteer some time to coach a year 3/4 basketball team please contact Robyn Bennett in Room 23:

Solar panel installation during the school holidays
With the help of a very generous donation from  grandparents of children at our school and a top up from school funds, we will be having solar panels installed on the roof of the administration building during the school holidays. Our thanks go to Brian and Karen Walker for their donation and for wanting our children to learn about sustainability, harvesting natural sources of power and how this can impact on their future. We will be able to see how much power we generate as a school and of course we are in a perfect position to use solar power as we use most power during daylight hours.
Please do not send your children to play at school unaccompanied by an adult as there will be machinery, scaffolding and workmen on site particularly during the second week of the school holidays.
Our next meeting will be on Tuesday 30 July at 7pm in the staff room. All are welcome!
