Art in the Holidays
One-day Drawing and Painting workshop for ages 7 – 12 yrs.
If your child loves drawing and painting they’ll love this one-day workshop with artist Eion Bryant. With step-by-step instruction they will draw then create a vibrant acrylic painting learning tips and techniques along the way. Fun and focused!
VENUE: St. Anne’s Hall, Browns Bay, 8th October, 10.00 – 3.00pm.

“Torbay Sailing Club (TSC) offers ideal infrastructures and a lovely family atmosphere to learn the basics of sailing and boost the enjoyment of the sport. While our doors are always open to experienced sailors who wish to join our club, we also offer Learn to sail courses for children (JLTS 9 to 13years of age), Youth (YLTS 13 to 18 years of age) and adults (ALTS 18+) wishing to give sailing a go.
Our Junior LTS courses for the new season are (minimum of 5 participants):
- Monday 30th September to Thursday 3rd October 2019 (school holidays)
- Monday 7th October to Thursday 10th October 2019 (school holidays)
- Sundays 13th October to 15th December 2019
- Monday 20th January to Thursday 13rd January 2020 (school holidays)
- Sundays 9th February to 5th April + Club Champs end of April 2020
JLTS block courses (course 1, 2 & 4) run from 8:30a to 4pm, while the Sunday courses run weekly for 3 hours (morning or afternoon TBC). Both are $400.

Local girls and young women need your help!
GirlGuiding New Zealand is New Zealand’s largest girl-only organisation and it’s our vision to see that all girls and young women are inspired and empowered to take action to change their world. We can’t do it without volunteers!
We currently need volunteers to help us out with units in Torbay and would welcome anyone who wants to help young girls and women in their community, regardless of how much time you can give.
