Travelwise Survey

Auckland Transport invites all parents/caregivers to take part in Glamorgan School Baseline Survey. This survey is designed to collect information about how students are travelling to and from school, preferences for travel and identifying any barriers that might limit students from travelling in an active and sustainable way. All parent/caregivers need to do is click on the digital link: https://aucklandtransport.au1.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_9WAe2GVT6EJrGSh to complete the survey and it should take no more than 10 minutes to do.

The survey is open now and will close on Wednesday 23 October. This information will assist Glamorgan School to develop new road safety and travel initiatives to better cater for students in the future. As a thank you for taking part, Auckland Transport is providing 2 sets of double movie passes to two lucky parent/caregivers. To be eligible to go into the prize winning draw, you will need to put your full name and contact details on the survey.

Planning for 2020

Planning is well underway for term 4 and we are now working into 2020 to ensure we have the staff we need to structure the school the best way for the children’s learning. As we finalise our school structure for 2020, if there is anything we need to know regarding your child’s placement please contact the principal, Janet Pinchen, in writing by the end of term 3 and not via your child’s current teacher.

Calendar Art – orders open this week
Today the flyer came home with your child which has information and the unique code for your child’s artwork. You can order Calendars, Mouse Pads, Diaries, Sketch Pads and Greeting Cards or upload your own photo. This year you can also order any of the Smencil products, which are scented pen & pencils. Samples are available at the office if you would like to see what they look like.

Please note: The school does not take any orders/payments. All orders/payments are made via the Kids Art Works website: www.kidsartworks.com. Orders will open on Thursday, 12th September and close on Monday, 30th September 9am. This is a great fundraiser for our school. Thank you in advance for your support.

Lost Property
Please take time to have a look through the lost property box at the back of the hall if your child has lost anything this term. Any unclaimed items at the end of the term will be given to a charity.
Well done Team Critchley!
7th Grade Team Critchley had a good winter season at East Coast Bays Football Club this year. It was the first time the team had played together and they all developed their football skills, plus sportsmanship and teamwork. The Glamorgan School players were Tyler Poland, Jackson Oddy, Jakdan Zhang, Dominic Bishop, Phoenix Dellow, Caleb Hall and Joshua Sullivan.  At the prizegiving evening, Player of the Year was Tyler Poland, and Most Improved Player was Phoenix Dellow. Congratulations!
