FOTS news

FOTS news

Our next meeting is on Tuesday, 19 November at 7pm in the staff room. All are welcome! Email for more info.

School disco – 1 November – Hawaiian Beach Party, 6-8pm

Tickets go on sale on Tuesday from the office, at $5 each. There will be 300 tickets available (this limit is higher than the attendance at the last discos), so there should be plenty of availability. There will be NO DOOR SALES to avoid disappointment. Please bring the tickets to gain entry on the night!

Parents of Year 1 & Year 2 pupils, and pupils with extra needs, are most welcome to stay. We ask that all other parents enjoy the two-hour break (picnic on the school field?).

If you really want to be there, please contact us to volunteer! Please email to get involved.

No student will be allowed to leave without being collected by a grown-up. We are mindful that for some, 2 hours might be too much, so please feel free to collect your child(ren) when you think they will have had enough!

Finally, a really big thank you to Karin Blaauw of Barfoot & Thompson for sponsoring the whole event!

Whole school assembly

Our first whole school assembly in term 4 is tomorrow Friday 25th October in the school hall at 2pm and Hapori (Team 3) will be leading. Everyone is welcome to come along.

Yummy Stickers – thank you!

This has been our best year ever! Thanks to everyone who saved their stickers and sent them to school. The stickers are counted and Glamorgan School has $1,555.00 to spend on sports gear.

We have already started collecting for next year so keep those Yummy stickers coming in!!!

Collecting swimming gear

We keep a collection of swimming togs and towels at school so that children who forget their togs don’t miss out on lessons. If you have togs that no longer fit, you may like to send them to Room 23 or drop them into the front office. Thank you.

Travelwise Survey

Auckland Transport invites all parents/caregivers to take part in Glamorgan School Baseline Survey. This survey is designed to collect information about how students are travelling to and from school, preferences for travel and identifying any barriers that might limit students from travelling in an active and sustainable way. All parent/caregivers need to do is click on the digital link: to complete the survey and it should take no more than 10 minutes to do.

This information will assist Glamorgan School to develop new road safety and travel initiatives to better cater for students in the future. As a thank you for taking part, Auckland Transport is providing 2 sets of double movie passes to two lucky parent/caregivers. To be eligible to go into the prize winning draw, you will need to put your full name and contact details on the survey.
