Swimming lessons for years 2 and 3 Term 1 2020

In Term 1 2020, Glamorgan School will once again be taking part in the Skillz4Life swimming programme, which will be held in the school pool during school hours. Only year 2 and 3 will be taught in term 1 of 2020, doing 8 consecutive lessons over 2 weeks. This is an optional activity and the cost is $50 for 8 half hour lessons. Years 4 and 5 children will have the option to have lessons in term 4 2020. Details will come home with children who will be in years 2 and 3 in 2020 inside your child’s school report on 12th December. Your child’s new classroom number for 2020 is used as a reference and payment needs to be made between 12th and 20th December, which is the cut off date.

These lessons only take two weeks of the pool time and all children will still swim in the pool during term 1 2020 with their own classroom teacher. I t is important  to note that school teachers are not qualified swim instructors. Our curriculum covers basic aquatic skills and therefore does not replace formal swimming lessons with a swim school for example.
