Term 4 starts 9am Monday 12th October and ends at 1pm on Tuesday 15th December

Kia ora koutou.  Hello everyone.

2021 Enrolment Applications

If you have a child turning 5 next year or know of anyone else  who has a child and wants them to come to Glamorgan School in 2021 please let the office know as soon as possible. All in zone children are guaranteed a place.

Out of zone applications- advance information, please read carefully to avoid disappointment

Any out of zone applications for 2021 will to go into a ballot held in October. All out of zone applications must be in to the school office by 15th October. If you enrolled in zone and have now moved out of zone, any other children in the family must apply for a place at the school through the ballot.

Please note: if you have a child enrolled out of zone already this does not give any other siblings in your family an automatic place at the school. Each out of zone enrolment must go through the ballot process and therefore it is essential you apply as soon as possible. We already have more applicants than places available and therefore a ballot will be held.

Term dates 2021

When teachers settled on a new collective agreement with the Ministry of Education in 2019 an Accord was also negotiated which would give a further 8 days over the following 3 years when schools can close to provide release time and professional development for teachers. Four of these days will be used in 2021.

Term 1 – Thursday 4th February to Friday 16th April

(Waitangi Day 8th February, Teacher Only Day 1st April,

Easter Break Friday 2nd, Monday 5th and Tuesday 6th April)

Term 2 – Monday 3rd May to Friday 9th July

(Teacher Only Day 4th June, Queen’s Birthday 6th June)

Term 3 – Monday 26th July to Friday 1st October

(Teacher Only Day 27th August)

Term 4 – Monday 18th October to Thursday 16th December

(Labour Day 25th October, Teacher Only Day 26th October)

Lost Property
Please take time to have a look through the lost property box at the back of the hall if your child has lost anything this term. Any unclaimed items at the end of the term will be given to a charity.

Thanks to those who made our virtual meeting on Monday, and apologies again for the short notice. The next meeting will be on Monday 12 October at 7pm – hopefully in person! Everyone is welcome to attend – now is the perfect time to get involved, especially as we’ll be losing a few members at the end of the year as kids leave Glamorgan for Intermediate School. Contact Katie at if you want more info about what we do and how you can help.
For now, we’re still hoping to go ahead with a disco on Friday 6 November, but obviously this is dependent on the ongoing Covid-19 alert levels. So much about this year has been abnormal that we really want to give the kids a normal school event, so fingers crossed. More information will follow at the start of Term 4.
