Term 4 ends at 1pm on Tuesday 15th December

 Kia ora koutou.  Hello everyone.

Junior Athletics Mornings – 5, 6 and 7 year olds

Athletics for 5, 6 and 7 year olds this year is split across two mornings on Monday 2nd November and Wednesday 4th November from 9:25am up to lunch time on the school field starting with sprints and moving on to field events.

Senior Athletics mornings

Athletics for 8, 9, 10 and 11 year olds this year is split across two mornings with field events on Wednesday 11th November and sprints on Thursday 12th November from 9:20am up to lunch time on the school field. Please note times of events are flexible and events will move to the afternoon if the weather is not good in the morning. This gives us flexibility to run the events if we should enter Level 2 again and means children are not out in the sun all day.

For both junior and senior athletics parents are welcome to come along and watch provided we are at Level 1.  If we move to Level 2 then we have restrictions on the number of people at a gathering and will request parents not to come along. Please still sign in using the paper sign in stations or use the QR posters displayed around the school for the mobile Covid app and sanitise your hands.

FoTS News
Our next meeting will be on 9 November at 7pm in the staff room. This will be our final meeting of 2020, at which we will need to appoint a new chairperson for 2021. We’re hoping to start planning for next year as well, so this is the perfect time to get involved if you’ve been holding back! Contact Katie at for more info. Everyone is welcome!
You have to be quick! Calendar Art
Parents requested another order for the Calendar Art Products.  Good news – order 3 is now open and will close on Monday, 2nd November at 10am.  This will be the FINAL order for the year.  Thank you.
DISCO – 6 November, 6.30-8.30pm
Hurrah, we can have a school disco! Year 6 has chosen Disney as the theme – which encompasses all the Disney classics as well as Marvel and Star Wars universes. Plenty of costume choices!
Parents of Year 1 & 2 pupils and children with extra needs are more than welcome to stay and of course we realise 2 hours may be too much for some children and you are welcome to collect your child before 8:30pm. We invite other parents to enjoy the two hour break, or volunteer to help with the disco if you would really like to stay. Contact Katie at if you want more info.
We’re mindful that this has been far from a normal year for the kids and we really want them to have some fun! As such, we’re going to increase the cap on tickets to 350, from last year’s 300.
Tickets go on sale from 2 November from the school office – Year 6 only can purchase their tickets from 29 October. Tickets cost $5 and include a drink, a snack, a toy and one free print from the photobooth. We will be selling extra drinks, pizza and snacks, and kids can buy extra photo prints. There will be options for food allergy sufferers (gluten, dairy, nut and egg free)!
Finally, a BIG thank you to Jamie from Your Local Electrician for sponsoring the photobooth!

Yummy Stickers – thank you!

Thanks to everyone who saved their stickers and sent them to school. The stickers are counted and Glamorgan School has $792.00 to spend on sports gear.

We have already started collecting for next year so keep those Yummy stickers coming in!!!

Collecting swimming gear

We keep a collection of swimming togs and towels at school so that children who forget their togs don’t miss out on lessons. If you have togs that no longer fit, you may like to send them to Room 23 or drop them into the front office. Thank you.
