Bullying Free New Zealand Week

Bullying-Free New Zealand Week starts 15th May and ends with the Mental Health Foundation’s Pink Shirt Day on Friday 19th May. This year’s theme is Kōrero Mai, Kōrero Atu, Mauri Tū, Mauri Ora – Speak up, Stand Together, Stop Bullying!  The week provides a great opportunity for students to celebrate what makes them unique and encourage schools and workplaces to build environments that are inclusive, welcoming, supportive, safe and free from bullying.

The week ends with Pink Shirt Day where children and adults  can wear anything pink on 19th May in support of Bully-Free NZ week. We realise not everyone has pink in their wardrobe and we do not expect families to buy especially for the day. A pink hair tie or wristband is just as welcome. If you wish to make a gold coin donation this will be given to the Mental Health Foundation.

All funds raised will go towards an exciting new refurbishment of our well-loved, and extensively enjoyed, 22 year old playground.

Look on the school website under Parent Information- Jubilee-A-Thon for details of how to sign up and be in the draw for spot prizes drawn daily and the chance to win Bluetooth wireless earbuds with digital display charging case tomorrow Friday 12th May and an LED Projector Light with Bluetooth Speaker on 19th May!

PhotoLife photos next Tuesday 16th May

School class and individual photos will be taken on Tuesday 16th May by PhotoLife and the children will have a flyer in their bag today with details. Sibling photos will not be taken at this time – they will be done on the same day as team photos in term 3. The flyer has a space to order sibling photos but please do not send your sibling photo information back to school, we will resend the flyer for sibling photos in term 3.

The school does not take any money for the photos, all payments are made directly to Photolife. When the photos are ready to purchase PhotoLife will send a key for each child to school. We will send these home to you and they have details of how to order your photos.
