Maths Curriculum open morning
On Tuesday 8th August we invite parents to come into classes between 9am and 10am and see maths in action. You can see how maths is taught in class and maths games and activities that support learning in maths will be available for parents to play with their child. Parents don’t have to stay the whole hour if they are not able to, this is an informal invitation to see maths in an everyday setting.

Whole School 50th Jubilee Variety Show – Dancing the Decades

We are very much looking forward to sharing our presentation of ‘Dancing the Decades’ with the community. This is an exciting time for everyone and a wonderful opportunity for our students to showcase their creative talents. A key component of our school arts programme for the last two terms, classes have spent a significant amount of time and effort preparing their items; the children are expected to be present for every performance. All students will remain at school for the duration of the show to participate in the curtain call.

This week all parents should have received an email with details of the show, times, dates and ticketing. Some key messages from the email are below:

Arrival Time For All Students On Performance Nights 5.45pm
Classrooms will not be open before this time. Children need to go directly to their classroom upon arrival where they will be supervised by a member of staff. They are not permitted to play in the playground before the show.

Pick–up Times For Students On Performance Nights
The duration of the show is just over an hour. Students will return to their classrooms directly after the end of each show to remove their costumes and will only be released into the care of an adult.

Performance Dates:

Please note on matinee days the school day will be adjusted and break times will be different to the usual ones.
Performance One – Matinee: Tuesday 22nd August: 1.00pm (Doors open 12:15pm)
Performance Two – Matinee: Wednesday 23rd August: 1.00pm (Doors open 12:15pm)
Performance Three – Evening: Wednesday 23rd August: 6.30pm (Doors open 5:45pm)
Performance Four – Evening: Thursday 24th August: 6.30pm (Doors open 5:45pm)

Tickets
• Tickets are required for entry into the show (no ticket, no entry).
• Tickets will be available from the school office from Monday 31st July (week 3) and can be paid for with cash or via Eftpos. Please Note: No door sales.
• Matinee Performance Tickets $5
• Evening Performance Tickets $10

Seating
In order to meet health and safety requirements, aisles must be kept free and audience members must be seated. Please be aware that the number of seats set-up for the audience must comply with regulations; tickets for each performance will therefore be limited to the maximum number of seats we are legally able to provide. We are limited to staging two evening shows and do encourage family members and friends to attend either of the two matinees.
