Principal's News
Anna-Marie McAleer
Kia ora, Glamorgan Whānau,
It is hard to believe we are already at the final full week of Term 1! With a short week approaching due to Good Friday, the term seems to have flown by in a blur of learning and activity. I continue to be incredibly proud of our students; whether in the classroom or out on EOTC adventures, they consistently demonstrate our core values of Respect, Resilience, and Relationships.
As we transition between terms, we are also seeing a definite shift in the weather. The wind and rain have already made an appearance this week! A friendly reminder to please ensure your children come to school prepared for the cooler, wetter conditions. A warm jumper, a reliable raincoat, and sturdy footwear make all the difference in keeping our tamariki comfortable and focused on their learning, even when the weather is less than ideal.
On a global stage, we are all navigating the rising cost of fuel. As is to be expected, our bus providers have had to apply surcharges to manage their operating costs.
For upcoming class trips, you may receive a notification regarding a small additional fee to cover these passed-on costs. We appreciate your support in processing these payments via Kindo. As always, we are committed to ensuring all students can participate; if your family requires financial support to cover these costs, please do not hesitate to reach out to me or the office in confidence.
I am absolutely thrilled to announce that Glamorgan has 131 people entered for the Shore-to-Shore run this Sunday! What a fantastic effort from our community.
If you are running or walking, please make sure you drop by the Glamorgan Gazebo at the finish line. We will be there to cheer you on and congratulate you on your achievement!
I wish you all a wonderful, safe, and relaxing Easter break. Take this time to recharge with your whānau, and we look forward to welcoming everyone back, refreshed and ready for an exciting Term 2!
Ngā mihi maioha,
